
LOOK: Phoenix Pharmaceutical Inc., through Angat Buhay, recently donated 14,000 ampoules of Scancortin to various hospitals and medical institutions in Capiz (10,560 ampoules), Iloilo (1920 ampoules), and Antique (960 ampoules) one box was donated to Dr. Steven Villaraza of Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center.
Scancortin, also known as Dexamethasone phosphate, is a corticosteroid medication used to effectively treat a range of conditions, including inflammation, allergies, and autoimmune diseases.
One Capiz Volunteer Group, Inc. – led by its Executive Director, Arnel Estiaga, Board Member Katherine Angon, and, Chief of Staff, and Julie Anne Humbas, facilitated the distribution and turned-over to the following last August 11: Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (4,800 ampoules), The Health Centrum Hospital (1,440 ampoules), Capiz Doctors Hospital (1,440 ampoules), Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, Inc. (1,440 ampoules), St. Anthony College Hospital (1,440 ampoules).
The beneficiaries of this donation are medical institutions in Antique (960 ampoules): Antique Medical Center, Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital, Bugasong Medicare Community Hospital, Pedro Gindap Memorial Hospital, Culasi District Hospital, Justice Calixto Zaldivar Memorial Hospital, and Sebaste Community Hospital. Similarly, in Iloilo (2,880 ampoules), the recipients include WVSU UH, WVMC Extension Barotac, Maasin RHU, and Iloilo Provincial Hospital.
